| Working Principle |
1. Power Input: The water pump pulley is driven by the engine’s crankshaft via a serpentine or V-belt, rotating the pump shaft and impeller. |
| 2. Coolant Suction: As the impeller spins, centrifugal force creates low pressure at the pump inlet, drawing coolant from the radiator into the pump housing. |
| 3. Pressure & Circulation: The impeller’s blades accelerate the coolant, generating pressure that pushes it through the engine block and cylinder head passages. |
| 4. Heat Dissipation: Coolant absorbs heat from the engine’s combustion chambers and cylinder walls, then flows back to the radiator to release heat. |
| 5. Leak Prevention: The mechanical seal between the shaft and housing blocks coolant from leaking out, while the sealed bearing prevents coolant from contaminating the bearing. |
