| Working Principle |
1. Electromagnetic Actuation (Starter/Alternator): The permanent magnet creates a fixed magnetic field in the stator/rotor. When electrical current flows through copper windings, it generates a rotating magnetic field that interacts with the permanent magnet field – driving the starter motor (cranking the engine) or inducing electrical current (alternator power generation). |
| 2. Position Sensing (Hydraulic Valve): The magnet is mounted on the valve spool; as the spool moves, the magnetic field shifts relative to a Hall-effect sensor in the valve body. The sensor converts the magnetic field change into an electrical signal (0–5V) sent to the ECU, enabling precise valve position control. |

Debris Capture (Filters): The magnet is integrated into fuel/oil filter housings, where its strong magnetic field attracts and traps ferrous metal particles (wear from engine/hydraulic components) – preventing debris from circulating and damaging sensitive parts (e.g., fuel injectors, pump gears). |
